Stanley Lee Simmons

Stanley Lee Simmons was born Feb. 27, 1958, to Teddy and Hildegard Simmons. As a teenager, Stan followed in his dad’s footsteps and learned the trade of logging, heavy equipment operating and machinery. In 1975, Stan joined the United States Navy where he was stationed in Hawaii. There, he furthered his mechanic skills. He was honorably discharged in 1976.

Stan’s first son, Steven, was born in December of 1978. In 1993, he met the love of his life, Susan Ohlund. Together, they built a beautiful life raising three kids.

Stan was a truck driver through and through. From raising his kids in the truck to always lending a hand to any family, friend or stranger he came across. There were no limits to what he would for those he loved.

Stan had plans to retire and travel with his wife. He was looking forward to many more adventures.

Stan was preceded in death by his mom, dad, his brother, Garry, his sister, Sue, and his beloved son, Mitchell.

He is survived by his wife, Susan; his daughter, Trisha; his son, Steven; many grandkids, nieces, nephews, and other friends and family that he truly adored. 

Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his grandkids.

Stan will be forever missed. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Nazarene Church in June.
