Samuel Kenneth Kelley passed away peacefully May 7 at his home in Burns. Sam was born Dec. 11, 1930, in Seattle, Wash. Of his many gifts, Sam was a philosopher, writer, poet, potter, and loved nature, hiking and camping. He is survived by his beloved partner and caregiver, Mary Salazar;  two daughters, Sarah Kelley of Shore Line, Wash., and Adrianne Ellis of Reno, Nev.; two brothers, Jay Kelley of Hilo, Hawaii, and Steve Kelley of Omak, Wash.; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He will be missed, and his life was a blessing to all who knew him.
