Patricia "Pat" Howes, 72 died on Friday, March 8, 2013 at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, Oregon.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Harney County Senior Citizen Center at 11:00 a.m.

Pat was born in Burns on April 14, 1940, to Woodrow Ray (Pat) and Eunice Edith (Cronin) Gregg.
She married Robert Wayne Howes on Aug. 3, 1961. They lived in Burns, where she drove school bus and worked at Burns Department Store. In 1985, they moved to Prineville, where she managed the Humane Society Thrift Store and drove bus for the Redmond School District. She was a school bus driver for many years and treated every child as if he or she was her own. In 2000, the Howes retired and moved back to Burns.
Moving home gave Pat an opportunity to do the things she really enjoyed. She loved to tole paint and teach many types of crafts. She loved to do many outdoor activities, especially camping. Her love for family was most important in her life. She loved to have family and friends at her house at all times. Holidays were very fun for her, as she always had an open door and plenty of food for her guests.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Howes of Hines; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Susan Howes of Coos Bay, and Mike and Stephanie Howes of Burns; grandchildren, Chris and Rachael Howes of Burns, Nick and Lizzie Howes of Bend, and Alycia Howes and Miranda Howes of Burns; great-grandchild, Gabe Howes of Bend; brothers; sisters; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; cousins; and all of the wonderful family and friends that she dearly loved.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m Saturday, April 6, at the Harney County Senior and Community Services Center in Burns.
