Luella Fay Turley passed away on June 4, at the age of 84. She was born June 18, 1931, in Sydney Montana, to John and Octa Wellman. Luella married Ray Turley on Jan. 22, 1950, in Winnemucca, Nev. The couple made their home in Burns, where she was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to spend time with her family, fishing, and camping.
She loved to entertain company and would greet you with a smile and a meal fit for a king anytime of the day. She was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew her.
Luella Turley is survived by daughter, Cheryl Callaway of Burns, son Randy Turley of Riddle, grandchildren, Zach Callaway of Fruitland, Idaho, Amanda Templar of Pinedale Wyoming, Brandon Turley of Bend, Oregon, and Michelle Rott of Burns,; and great granddaughters Madison Turley and Saviah Turley of Bend, Oregon.
Luella was preceded in death by parents John and Octa Wellman, husband Ray Turley, sisters Phyllis Breitling, and Rose Martin.
A memorial Service for Luella Turley will be held on Friday, June 10, at LaFollette's Chapel at 1 p.m. followed by graveside services. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Harney County CAN Cancer Society and mailed to LaFollette's Chapel, P.O. Box 488, Burns, Oregon.
