James R. Hutchinson, 94 died on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Harney District Hospital. Jim was born January 5th, 1919 in Burns, Oregon.  He was a WWII Veteran, fighting for his country in the Pacific Theater during WWII; receiving an Honorable Discharge.  He returned to Burns and resided there for the rest of his life.  He is survived by his wife, Ruthie, daughter Vicky, daughter Janice, son Dale, son Michael, daughter Lynne. Jim was featured in the "Range" Magazine, based out of Carson City, NV.  The article stated that Jim was one of the real genuine cowboys and it told about his life very accurately.  His doctor, just before he passed away, said he was the toughest 94 year old he has ever met!  He was one of the Best, for sure, and well liked by everyone. Those of us left behind do not grieve for our loss, but rather celebrate his great life while he was here on this earth and who is now with God for eternity. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Thursday, January 2nd, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Seventh Day Adventist Church (306 N Buena Vista Ave) with a luncheon gathering immediately following.
