Gene Odam, 85 died on September 30, 2014 at Harney District Hospital in Burns, Oregon. Gene was born in Winona, Missouri to Art and Leone Odam. The family moved to Vernonia, Oregon, where Gene lived until he was called by the Army to serve in the Korean War. Gene made his living as a logger and resided with his family in Brownsville, Oregon for many years. He retired to Burns, Oregon in 1994. He is survived by his wife Leslie, brother Jack, daughter Lisa and husband Rick Gehrke, and sons Dan and Stan as well as grandchildren and nieces. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bill and Myrl and sister Helen and beloved son Dave. Gene will be buried in a private next to his son Dave in a private service in Brownsville.
