Florence Alice Duncan of Hines, Oregon passed away after a brief bout with cancer on January 29, 2012. She was born on April 14, 1924 in Rich Hill Missouri to Charlie Franklin Yeates and Alice Mae Yeates.  The family moved in the 1930's to Marsing, Idaho. Florence met and married George Baalson and had five children.  George and Florence were later divorced and she met and married Tom Dunagan.  Tom died of cancer.  She later met and married Wayne Duncan.  Florence and Wayne moved to Hines, Oregon in 1997.  Wayne brought to the family three daughters. During her life, Florence held many jobs that included working at the Simplot plant in Caldwell, Maising Hardware Store and the Sandbar Restaurant.  She was a Justice of the Peace for several years and volunteered for many election boards.  She and her husband George ran a Thriftway Market in Marsing for many years. The last 15 years, Florence lived in Hines, Oregon with her husband Wayne.  She especially loved the drive they took and times spent observing wildlife that is abundant in the area. Florence is survived by her husband, Wayne, her five children; Douglas Baalson of Boise, Idaho; Pat Landa of Caldwell, Idaho; Cheryl Holmes of Caldwell, Idaho; Jody Stringer of Parma, Idaho and Greg Baalson of Caldwell, Idaho.  Three step-children:  Debra Ann Florance of Portland, Oregon; Lynne Straughan of Prineville, Oregon and Connie Budke of Kentucky.  She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren, one sister and two brothers. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters. The family would like to thank Harney County Hospice for their excellent service and care.  They especially thank Jackie Drinkwater for her devotion and skill.
