Elisabeth was born in Germany, immigrating to the US after WWII when she married Joe Valentine, an American serving in the Army.  They lived in various parts of Washington, then moved to Crane, eventually returning to Washington and settling in Camano Island.

For the past 25 years Elisabeth has lived in Sunriver, Ore. Elisabeth worked hard, was kind to everyone, devoutly religious, loved animals, and took happiness in the gentle parts of life.

Elisabeth is survived by her children, George Valentine, Deon Stonehouse, and Carolyn Barr, her adopted daughter; her grandchildren, Katrina Valentine, Joe Valentine, and Lily Valentine.
