Douglas J. Whiteaker passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in Burns, Oregon.  Doug was born on July 30, 1957 in Burns, Oregon to Alfred Whiteaker and Flossie Woolsey Whiteaker.  He graduated from Burns Union High School in1976.  Doug served one tour with the US Navy as a 3rd Class Petty Officer.  After returning home Doug as employed at Harney County Road Department for 33 years.  In 1981 Doug married Glena (Fleury) Whiteaker.  Doug loved being outdoors, he enjoyed hunting, camping, ATV's and campfires. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Glena Whiteaker; daughter, Shannon Whiteaker of Baker City, Oregon; brothers and sisters; Maxine Seadschlag, John Whiteaker, Jim Whiteaker, Darlene Williams, Janice Martin, Debbie Graven, Allen Whiteaker and numberous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie & Alfred Whiteaker and sister, Ruby Eggleston.
