Douglas Jay Castle, known to many as "J," passed away on March 12, 2025, at the age of 76. J was born on December 15, 1948, in San Rafael, California. He leaves behind three children and two grandchildren, along with three brothers and one sister. J was a gifted artist. He could build and fix anything he set his mind to. In 1965, the day after he graduated from high school at 17, he enlisted in the Navy. He was a plane captain on the USS America and the USS Constellation during the Vietnam War. J spent his youth in Marin County, California, and after his service, he resided along the Oregon coast before moving to Burns and Hines. J loved the outdoors, fishing, hiking, shooting, and gardening. J's sister Sue of Bend, Oregon, especially wants to thank Brent Drewery, who has satisfied J's final wishes and helped with so much more. In addition, thank you to all who visited J in the hospital, said prayers for him, and called him a friend.
