Donald "Ray" Cornwall,85, was born on January 27, 1927 in Emmett, Idaho, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2012, at his home in North Logan, Utah. Ray was the fifth of seven children born to Nellie Mae and Joseph Alexander Cornwall.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and proudly served his country aboard the USS Kula Gulf during WWII.
Following an honorable discharge from the Navy Ray moved to Hines, OR and began his life's career with Edward Hines Lumber Company.
Ray met Anita Miller in Burns, OR. They were married on July 1, 1951 in Hines. Anita and Ray were blessed five children, Nancy, Ronald, Raynae. Gerald, and Robert.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, a son Ronald, brothers Robert & Ernest and sister Roberta.
He is survived by his wife, Anita, sister Shirley, brothers Keith and Jerry, daughters and spouses, Nancy Woller of Methuen Massachusetts, Raynae and (Mark) Torkelson of Logan Utah, sons and spouses, Gerald and (Stacey) of Kent Washington , Robert and (Shari) of Orem Utah, and daughter- in- law Sue (Ronald deceased) of Renton Washington. Ray is the grandfather of 16 and great- grandfather of 1.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 600 N Saginaw Ave, Hines, OR
