Dewey Newton, 85, of Burns passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022.

He was born Adrian Dewey on July 24, 1936 in Conesville, Iowa, later changing his name to Dewey Adrian. He was born at home and was one of eight children.

Dewey married Patricia Lewis and raised four children: Glenn, Dane, Rosalind, and Mark.

Dewey, while being known as an avid baseball player, also built bridges, worked at united Airlines while getting his law degree, worked with his sons, building recreational vehicles, was in real estate, worked at the state capital and held many legal and other positions while maintaining fifty years of membership in the Oregon State Bar.

He will be buried next to his wife, Nancy Newton, in the Burns cemetery
