Darrell was born Aug 16th 1943 at the family farm near Erhard, Minnesota,

to William and Nettie (Helgeson) Peasley, he was the youngest out of 8

children. When Darrell was 12 years old he was in the Minneapolis, MN

hospital for 6 months with Rheumatic fever which caused severe arthritis.

He suffered the rest of his life with pain. But that didn't stop him from being

active, with crippled hands he still wouldn't stop doing what he loved. Darrell

moved to Burns, OR. in 1966 and went to work for Edward Hines Lumber

Company. In June of 1970 Darrell married Linda Worley. Darrell and Linda

welcomed their son Ben into this world in June of 1971. When the mill shut down

he started up his contracting business. Darrel Peasley Construction.

For many years Darrell loved trapping, hunting and fishing. Darrell took great

pride in everything he did, from his garden to knife making, wood working

and even rock hounding. He loved to laugh and tell stories, his faith and family was his pride and joy. Darrell wouldn't let anything slow him down, he had to keep busy. Darrell was

not the type to go and visit people, but when visitors come to the house he would

stop what he was doing and go inside to sit and conversate with anyone who

stopped by. When his arthritis got really bad he wasn't able to do his yard

work easily, he wasn't the type to sit around and wait for help. He bought

a small tractor to help him around the house. His garden looked better than

ever with the use of that tractor. Clear up until the day God called him home,

he was building a pantry, still creating knives and attending to his garden.

Darrell is survived by his devoted wife of 56yrs Linda (Worley) Peasley, his

son Benjamin (Teresa) Peasley, granddaughters Sarah (Seth) Aurland, Emily Peasley,

Katelynn Peasley, grandson Travis Peasley and step grandson Jason (Emm) Delange.

Great grandchildren Sadie, Sage, Sterling, Scout and Stormy Aurland and Jasper

Delange. Sister in law Patricia Peasley. Many nieces and nephews, cousins

and a lot of close family and friends.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents William and Nettie Peasley,

brothers Clarence (Sonny), Charlie (Eilene), Murrell (Idella), Carrol-Carley,

sisters Violet (Lloyd) Emery, Adeline (Harvey) Mostue and Betty (Johnny) Bolstad.

Father and Mother in law Charles and Dorothy Worley.

Services will be held at the Church of the Nazarene in Hines,Oregon on Sept. 26th

at 2:00pm. Pot luck to follow after services at the church. Meats will be provided please

bring your favorite side dish or dessert.
