It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved friend Connie Lee Steelman. Connie was born on February 1, 1957 in Bozeman, MT to Tracy & Esther Scrimsher. She graduated from Sherman County Union High School in Rufus, OR in 1975 and obtained her bachelor's degree in physical education and health from OSU. Connie moved to Hines in 1991 when she took the position of Postmaster at the Hines post office. She retired from that position in 2024. Connie passed away in her home on November 27, 2024 at the age of 67. Connie is survived by her husband Ralph Steelman, her daughter Laura Cox and one grandchild.
