Clyde Henry Cowing, 73, passed away on Oct. 16, 2023, with his family by his side.

Clyde was born Dec. 22, 1949, to Henry and Viola (McClure) Cowing. He was born and raised in Harney County, where he attended school and graduated from Burns High School.

Clyde was a school bus driver for years, but ranching was his passion. He enjoyed working with horses and cattle.

He is survived by his wife of 30-years, Teresa Cowing; children, Michael Cowing, of Idaho; Rita Matteson, and husband, Jerry, of Umatilla; Brandie Wright, and husband, Joe, of Burns, Jackie Westland, and wife, Sherry, of Texas; and Michael Westland, of Hines; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Clyde was a beloved husband, father, and friend. He will be deeply missed.

Per Clyde's request, there will be no services.
