Obituary

Aeola Valentine (Dunn) Tiller was born on February 14, 1942 in Hines Oregon to Elmer E. Dunn and Reatha Florence (Hartell) Dunn. She was the third of four children - Frank, Glenn, Aeola, and Arvetta. Aeola 'Lola' met the love of her life, Ron, in high school and at the age of 20 they moved into their forever home a few miles outside of Burns. They raised their children, operated their family-owned grocery store, raised cattle and farmed hay. She held other jobs as well, including working as a teller at First Interstate Bank when it first opened, AmeriTitle and the Accessors Office. The responsibilities she took the most seriously throughout her life were being a wife, mom, and nana. After retiring, there were countless days spent in the woods camping, four wheeling, cutting wood, and spending time with friends and family. The grandkids' camping trips will be some of their most treasured memories with her. She always made time to travel to the grandkids' activities near and far. She hosted family reunions, picnics, Christmases, numerous holidays and get-togethers. Mom was always the heart of the kitchen and her recipes will live on. She always made sure everyone was invited and all were welcome. Lola left this world March 7, 2026 in Nampa Idaho surrounded by her loved ones. It was a peaceful end to a blessed life. While our family reflects on our memories, the stories leave smiles on our faces and warmth in our hearts, because at the center of it all was a dedicated, fiery, and selfless wife, mom & nana. She loved us with a big heart. She sacrificed for others more than anyone, and she taught us well. Lola is survived by her husband Ron of 64 years, and their three children; Scott, Mike and Sherri. Scott (Lisa); grandchildren Trevor(Heather), Nicholas, and Jaden. Mike (Kathy); grandchildren Shelby and Sam. Sherri (Ken); grandchildren Kennadee and Maicee (Frank); great grandchildren Tyson, Jacob, Garett, and Camden.
