Dearest Bentz Family,
Sending you blessings and prayers for strength to get through this terrible nightmare you have been thrust into... I'm so so sorry and wish there were something I could do to ease your burden. Mike was such a good man and father and son... while I know there were many loved ones already on the other side there to greet him, I can just hear the banter that must have taken place between he and Mike Schnitker met up :-)
Be blessed and let the community love you,
Much love to you, cyndy coleman marshall

Look for me in Rainbows

Time for me to go now, I won't say goodbye;
Look for me in rainbows, way up in the sky.
In the morning sunrise when all the world is new,
Just look for me and love me, as you know I loved you.

Time for me to leave you, I won't say goodbye;
Look for me in rainbows, high up in the sky.
In the evening sunset, when all the world is through,
Just look for me and love me, and I'll be close to you.

It won't be forever, the day will come and then
My loving arms will hold you, when we meet again.

Time for us to part now, we won't say goodbye;
Look for me in rainbows, shining in the sky.
Every waking moment, and all your whole life through
Just look for me and love me, as you know I loved you.

Just wish me to be near you,
And I'll be there with you.

Music and lyrics: Conn Bernard (1990). Vicki Brown

I am deeply saddened with the news of Mike's tragic death. He was one of the finest men I ever knew. I am praying that God holds your family tight within his grasp during this time of mourning and that you all find his rainbow.

For Linda and family

The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning that God
Was going to call your name
In life we loved you dearly
In death we do the same
It broke our hearts to lose you
You did not go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home
You left us peaceful memories
Your love is still our guide
And though we can not see you
You are always at our side
Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one
THE CHAIN will link again

God Bless you all, Dave and Ramona Hulick

Linda & Family,
I am so sorry to hear about Mike. He was an awesome man.  Although it has been many years since I had talked to him I can still hear his laugh and remember his goofy good natured humor.  My best story of Mike is when we played football together.  I hit him in practice and dislocated his shoulder.  I felt horrible about it. He laughed a few days later and told me not to worry about it, it didn't hurt and that he was just fine.  That is what I remember most about him, tougher than nails and always able to crack us up.  Rest in Peace Mike, you will be missed by many people.

Mike will be missed with his sense of wit, his knowledge for direction for the board, the sparkle in his blue eyes that you knew something was up and he was waiting to give his punch line to make us all laugh.

May God fill this huge hole in his passing, and know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayer daily

Dear Bentzs and Linda and Family,

I saw Mikey at a gathering such as this in Drewsey this year.  We were outside and our eyes met,  we smiled at each other.  Mickey's  eyes brought me back 51 years as he was shuffling  across the floor.  I was visiting his Mom that day.  I said something to him,  he looked up at me and smiled that beautiful smile he had and those big eye looked so dark blue,  they just twinkled like stars.  This is what I remember about Mickey and what I felt was Ann (his Mother saying to him), opening her arms up and saying  "come here baby" after the accident.

We all mis him dearly, but your memories are something that will stay with you forever and know one can take that away from you.  God Bless you all,   Sally Riley Lovins

I knew Mike when he was a little boy. I was so in awe of who he was....a real cowboy! Jim Neal was my godfather, and so I was introduced to the Bentz family through Cathy, Jim's wife. We went to Drewsey as little kids, to go to a "hoe-down". I think it was the most fun party I ever went to in my young 9 year old life. I met Mike there, and we danced as 9 year olds dance. Mike and I exchanged letters for a while - he often wrote about his trappings. So different from my life on a farm. His missing finger was also quite a hit. I always had a place for him in my heart, and I am so sad for your loss. My husband and I lost our 26 year old son to suicide 2 years ago, so we know grief. It is very hard to do right. I pray for you, and know you will find something to keep you going in a positive way, to remember your husband, dad, grandpa....peace...Beth
