|Mike, Michelle and Family:
Our hearts and prayers go out to you at this time. Joe was a real character, always a smile and a story, and a heart as big as the stories he told. He will be missed, and touched the lives of many. And so he will live in the hearts of the many he touched, and now he lives surrounded by the warm hands of God.

|Michael and Patrick I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I met your mother and father in 1961 in Darrington, WA. What wonderful and loving people to each other and to everyone they met. I always loved the twinkle in your dad's eye when he looked at your mother. They are treasured in my heart and wish the very best of memories to you both. I live in Indiana now so I am sorry to say that I will not be there this time.|

|Mike, Mary & I just found out about Joe's passing and very sad to hear it. We will miss his annual Christmas letters, relating his hunting tales and updates on the family. I transferred to John Day to work on the Prairie City
District 78/79 and Joe and Rita, were our welcoming angels, house hunters and advisers. We know is with Rita in a better place. Take care and God Bless..
