Patsy Louise Cronin, 85, of Drewsey, passed away May 29 in her home, with her family at her side.

Patsy was born Sept. 1, 1933, to the late Charles Aaron and Gladys Viola Beckley in Burns. Patsy graduated from Crane Union High in 1951, and went on to receive her teaching degree from Oregon State University. After college, Patsy married the love of her life, Harvey J. Cronin, on June 19, 1959. They shared a life full of love and laughter for more than 59 years. Patsy taught home economics and P.E. for middle school and high school in Burns, where she later retired and devoted her time to her husband, family, and life on the ranch. Patsy had a passion for the outdoors, which included hunting, fishing, camping with the grandkids, or spending her days gardening. She was known for her kind, nurturing ability to care for others. She was also known for her beautiful vegetable garden and amazing talents with sewing and canning. Patsy was always ready for any adventure, no matter where it took her. She brought laughter and sparkle to any occasion. She had many accomplishments throughout her life, but her greatest one was her family and the love she held for them all.

Patsy is survived by her husband, Harvey J. Cronin of Drewsey; four sons, Dan and Chris Cronin of John Day, their four children and grandsons, Jason and Amber Cronin, their daughter, Adeline, of Eugene, Sam and Christie Cronin, their son, David of Redmond, Luke and Heidi Cronin; daughter, Claire, and son, Benjamin of Klamath Falls; granddaughter, Anna and Mark Brady, their daughter, Marianna, of Modesto, Calif., son, Charles L. and Janet L. Cronin of Spring Creek, Nev., along with their three children, granddaughters, Nicole and Alain Lanusse,  their children, Dakota, Ryder and Parker of San Martin, Calif.; Monique and Jarod Peters, their daughters, Betty Lee and Grace Lee of Talkeetna, Alaska; grandson, Levi C. Cronin of Spring Creek, Nev., his daughter, Shaylynn; son, Mike Cronin and Vance Havery of Portland; son, Toby and Lisa Cronin of Drewsey, with their three children, granddaughters, Jessica and Nathan Engebreg, their children, Greyson Alexander and Reigan Renee, Morgan Cronin and MacKenzie Cronin; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended loved ones.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Charles A. and Gladys V. Beckley; and sisters, Marianne Ami and Doris Rasmussen.
