Reta Marlene Herrera

Born: December 15, 1949 in Enterprise, OR

Died: January 3, 2020, at her home in Burns, OR with family at her side.

Reta was a long time resident of Burns. She moved to Burns from Enterprise, OR when she was five years old and graduated from Burns Union High School in 1968. Reta graduated from Western Business University in 1969.  Reta was well known in the community as she worked at Pioneer Bank (now Umpqua Bank) for several years until her retirement. She volunteered her time to support the Harney County 4-H livestock sale at the Harney County Fair for several years. Reta and her husband Ed were the Grand Marshals of the Harney County Fair, Rodeo and Race meet in 2016, an honor that she cherished.
Reta is survived by her husband Ed Herrera, sons, Eric Herrera (Christine), Philip Herrera (Lavonne) and Bradley Herrera (Amber), sister Sue Owens (Curtis), brother Gary Bradly (Cindy), brother-in-law Aurelio Herrera (Barbara), sister-in-laws Marge Alvarado, Josie Rez (Rupert), Rita Quintero (Tony) and Lupe Farley (William), nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Reta was preceded in death by her father Edward Bradley, mother Roberta Bradley, grandparents Charles and Joy Bradley, and Elmer and Bessie Southwick, nephew Terry Dial, brother-in-law Manual Alvarado and nephew Matt Alvarado.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the CAN Cancer of Harney County.
At her request, there will be no services.
